A couch is as lovely by any other name...

So we committed. Two couches purchased for the front living room. I cannot wait until they come. Unfortunately, we have to wait for 8-12 to fill our order and then deliver. Arg!

Two couches, you say? Um, yes. Two of these beauties:

It all comes down to the hope that how you furnish your home can be more than taste. It can be a reflection of what you want your home to be. The husband and I made the big commitment (to a mortgage, yikes!) in order to make an investment in community. To be here in Denver and sink some roots down. To have a space for Friday night dinners and sleepovers with our nephew and long conversations over coffee with dear friends. And so it made sense to start picking out all the fun stuff like couches with those ideas still in mind.

So, what do two couches mean? To me two couches that are face to face invite you to make yourself comfortable. To not swivel your neck to look one another in the eye. To linger over the conversation and coffee.

My hope is that it means that you are invited to my house. Soon. Well, in 8-12 weeks.
